Rocking moments

RYW

I know I only did a post the other day (or so it seems), but I thought I would do my best to get back on track and be on time-ish.  :)

Joining up with the scrapbooking genius Virginia and the girls.

Given I only did a post a couple of days ago this will be a bit skimpy, but should be read in combination with the last post.

I have been sick for the last few days and I am especially grateful for my beloved who has been keeping the fire stoked, making sure I have vitamin C (stopping just short of forcing them down my throat!!), and making me hot lemon and honey drinks.  I am truly grateful, and felt very loved this week.

Sebastian brought home a report and everything is at the top level measured against our national standards over here, so that is most excellent.  We have also just found out he has been selected to go on a BIG rugby trip to Australia next year which is massively exciting for him and us (though tempered for us a bit by the cost commitment!!  :))  It will be an incredible memory making trip for him, it all sounds incredible and he is a very happy boy.

The winter holidays have begun amid bugs and rain.  Thank goodness for fires and boardgames and a good library.  I heard that there may even be snow here next Wednesday which would make my Winter, though I don’t want to get my hopes up too much. *crossing my fingers and toes*

I have been knitting while feeling a bit poorly and have nearly finished a scarf knitted on circular needles.  This may not seem much to most people but I am notoriously bad at finishing knitting projects so it seems very exciting to me!

At the moment it seems like creativity has been overflowing, with my art journal and index cards the main recipients, I am very grateful.  :)

I am also very grateful for kind friends with lovely words that make me feel very seen and special.  And as always I am grateful for my children and my Beloved, who all make my life very filled with exasperation, laughter and love.

Wishing you all a most fabulous weekend filled with warmth and love.  :)

  1. Oh what a lovely post, whilst you are curled up enjoying Winter we are in the middle of a heat wave and I’m stuck indoors! You’re week seems to have been made by the wonderful people around you, caring thoughtful hubby, amazing children and crafting – what could be better!

  2. I am sending you healing thoughts across the world, and a moment of my summer as this brand new day begins. I would love to see your knitted scarf when it is finished! You should be thrilled that you are making a loving snuggly by your own hands, and on circular knitting needles that my Grama would have been proud of…if only I could have done this!!! Peace, restfulness and sweet thoughts to you! Kathy

  3. Sorry to hear you have been poorly so I am glad that you are being looked after properly. I look forward to seeing your scarf when it is finished. Enjoy your crafting. Thanks for sharing. Caro x (#4)
