Exploring my chakras

In the interests of exploring my word of the year “connection” I have being exploring my connection to myself, as well as external connections.  I came across a free online workshop on exploring your chakras and creating art!  Perfect I thought.

I have had a passing interest in the chakras for a little while, and have gained a few books that have flung themselves into my arms as I have walked through book stores, though I have not delved in recent times. I painted this in 2010 (or late 2009), when I was last seriously digging.  You can’t really see it in the picture but all the chakras are painted with luminescent paint.

I love this and it has so much meaning for what I was going through at the time, it hangs in a quiet corner of my room with my crystals and a favourite chair.  The intention was to create a space for quiet peaceful reflection, in fact the chair often holds laundry still to be put away and bits and bobs that are on their way to their actual home!

So a passing interest, and a lot of anticipation as I get ready to dig in and connect more to myself.  I can’t think of a better way to begin as we are entering March and Autumn for me is just around the corner.

The first week is up and the information contained in that week is very generous, Simona has a lot of experience in this field and it shows.  I highly recommend people come and check it out.
