I am a sucker for…

A long time ago Aimee over at Artsyville had a List it Tuesday for what you are a sucker for…a long time ago I completed that page!! haha

I am a sucker for...

I should have had Christmas on the list because at the moment Christmas has taken over my life although that will be a separate post. (Though when I wrote out the list I see I had Christmas down already!!!).  But when I did this page I was a sucker for:

  • Paynes Grey, quinacridone nickle azo gold, and turquoise
  • Victoria’s laughter and wild gypsy spirit
  • Picnics under sprawling trees
  • Magnolia blooms and spring blossoms
  • New plant shoots and weeded gardens
  • The ocean
  • Sunsets
  • Sebastian’s smooches and sense of humour
  • A good father
  • Carrot cake with cream cheese icing
  • Hard nectarines
  • Feijoas
  • Art supply stores
  • Painting
  • Learning
  • To-do lists
  • Dark chocolate
  • Peppermint
  • Licorice
  • Pens
  • Photos
  • Mac Russian Red lipstick
  • New babies
  • Reptiles, bugs and spiders
  • Star trek
  • Books
  • Folk music
  • Women singer songwriters
  • Love notes from Victoria and words sounded out
  • Poetry writing
  • Stormy skies
  • Hot water bottles
  • Rickety barns
  • Christmas and holiday celebrations
  • Quiet peace

I played with my embossing pen for the first time, where you write and then add the embossing powder…watching the embossing powder melt always feels a little magical for me!

Writing out the list, it is clear we were in the middle of spring (magnolia blooms and stormy skies), and also how much those things really do all excite me every single time. All of them. Also funny because I have just left a comment to someone about my daughters notes and I note that have been getting written for a while, though now we have progressed from love notes to notes about everything! The sounded out words still get me.

  1. I’m especially partial to the peppermint, dark chocolate and rickety barns. And — if that’s the one you are wearing in your picture, you rock that red Mac lipstick!

Your comment will make my day. Thank you! :)
